Justin and Vanessa Smit moved from Kwazulu Natal in South Africa to the North Island in 2017 and a year later opened The SAFFA Shack in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay with a 2nd branch in Napier shortly afterwards.
The SAFFA Shack brings over the memories of where we all once were. The memories we recall and the love we felt for our family and friends when we shared a box of Maries, when we rode on our BMX to the shop to buy a Fizzer or a bag of Jelly Tots on a hot Sunday afternoon.
When Oupa let you taste an Ouma rusk for the first time, when you sat as a family in the lounge and laughed once again at the old Cremora advert on your old box TV, the Simba chips you bought for your friend at the school tuckshop and most of all when Ma, surrounded by 20 of your school friends, packed your 10th birthday party table full of Creme Soda, Sparberry, Pine Nut, Iron Brew drinks and filled the bowls with Ghostpops, Flings, NikNaks, Appelkosies, Wilson Toffees and all sorts of Fizz pops, whilst Pa took photos.
Those were the days and those are the memories we wish to return to you.
We look forward to welcoming you to The SAFFA Shack!
